Isabel Hospice, a care charity based in Welwyn Hatfield, was presented with a cheque thanks to the funds raised at the Christmas market.
The cheque totalled £2749 which is money that was raised at the Christmas market by the Welwyn Hatfield Conservative Association. Over the last 50 years, the association has raised over a quarter of a million pounds for the Hospice.
Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps visited Isabel Hospice in his constituency and met representatives of the charity to present them with the cheque.
“It was absolutely fantastic to hand Isabel Hospice this cheque for the funds we raised at our recent Christmas Market.
“I am so grateful to Isabel Hospice for all the work they do. I am so proud to call myself a patron of this wonderful charity”.
Connor Williams from Isabel Hospice thanked Grant and the Welwyn Hatfield Conservative Association for the funds they raised:
“It was a pleasure to once again host Isabel Hospice patron, Grant Shapps, at our Welwyn Garden City head office. This generous donation of £2749.00, proceeds of last month’s wonderful Christmas market organised by the Welwyn Hatfield Conservatives, will go a long way in supporting our mission of providing comfort and care to those in need.”
